MVCC drops pair in Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH — The Mohawk Valley Community College baseball team dropped two games Monday against NJCAA Division II Sussex CC at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Joe DiMasse, of Proctor High in Utica, had three hits in the first game and David Breakell added two hits in a 7-3 loss for the Hawks. MVCC's Jake Beer, of Holland Patent, pitched a five plus innings allowing three earned runs.
In the second game, MVCC was defeated 6-1 as the Sussex pitchers limited the Hawks to five scattered hits.
The Hawks (2-4) will play their seventh game in four days with a single contest against another NJCAA Division II school, Morris CC of New Jersey.
