MVCC completes Myrtle Beach trip with loss
MYRTLE BEACH — The Mohawk Valley Community College baseball team dropped the final game of their spring trip 5-0 on Tuesday to Division II Morris CC of New Jersey at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The Hawks managed only one hit against Morris ace right-hander Ryan Devanney. Joe DiMasse, of Proctor High in Utica, had the Hawks lone hit. Colton Davis, of Oriskany, pitched a solid five innings for MVCC allowing only two earned runs.
The Hawks finished the spring trip 2-5 overall, 2-1 against Division III competition.
