ROME — A 39-year-old woman is accused of giving her sister's name to police officers following a traffic stop in Rome very early Thursday morning, according to the Rome Police Department.

Police said Nicole L. Addison, of Rome, was pulled over for a vehicle and traffic violation on West Liberty Street around 12:39 a.m. Thursday. Police said Addison had no identification on her, so she gave her name and birthdate to the officer.

Before the officer was able to walk back to their patrol car, police said Addison called them back and admitted to giving her sister's name and birthdate. Police said Addison had a suspended license.

The vehicle was searched and a tied corner baggie of methamphetamine was found in the glove box, authorities stated.

Addison is charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, false personation and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, police said. She is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
