A Rome man was found with a quantity of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on West Bloomfield Street very early Saturday morning, according to the Rome Police Department.

Meth seized in Rome traffic stop
ROME — A Rome man was found with a quantity of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on West Bloomfield Street very early Saturday morning, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said a vehicle was found stopped at West Bloomfield and North Washington streets at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday. Police said the vehicle was searched, and the passenger — 31-year-old Timothy M. Joanis — was found with 9.4 grams of meth.
Joanis is charged with one count of seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
