NEW HARTFORD — Marquee Cinema at The Orchard will be reopening its doors to movie goers this afternoon with seating capacity guidelines and mask wearing required by patrons.
Marquee representatives said the cinema will not be re-opening under a full schedule but rather will have limited hours each day.
For the time-being, the cinemas at 20 Ellinwood Drive will show films on Fridays beginning at about 3 p.m.
On Saturdays , the Marquee will feature a full line-up of films.
Showtimes on Sunday will run no later than 7:15 p.m.
On weekdays, there will only be two showtimes for each movie — around 3 and 7 p.m., officials said.
As per re-opening guidelines established by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, seating capacity inside theaters has been limited to 25 percent capacity.
Seats in each theater have been cordoned off so that required social distancing guidelines may be in place, cinema officials said.
Cinema representatives said patrons will be required to wear a mask unless they are seated, as well as eating or drinking. When not eating or drinking however, it is recommended that movie-goers use their masks. Disposable masks will be available for purchase at $1.
