WESTMORELAND — Accused of breaking another person’s car window during a road rage incident, a 23-year-old man is facing a felony charge, according to law enforcement officials.

Sheriff’s deputies said Michael Pritchard, of Blossvale, got into a disagreement with the driver of another vehicle at the intersection of Lamphear Road and Route 233 in the outer district of Rome on Sept. 15. Deputies said both vehicles kept driving along Route 233 until they reached the intersection with West Main Street in Westmoreland.

Deputies said Pritchard got out of his vehicle and threw an unknown object at the other car, causing damage to the rear window.

Following an investigation, deputies said Pritchard was identified and he was taken into custody on Friday on one count of third-degree mischief, a class E felony.

Pritchard was released on an appearance ticket for Town Court, authorities added.
