Man faces charges for hitting sister
ROME — A Rome man is accused of hitting his sister while she was holding her infant Sunday morning, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said Htaw Htawl, 29, struck his sister in the face and the back of the head at a residence on Prospect Street at about 8 a.m. Sunday. Police said the victim was holding her 7-month-old child in her arms at the time.
Htawl is charged with one count each of second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said. He is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
