A 36-year-old man is accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend and police officers on West Thomas Street very early Sunday morning, according to law enforcement officials.
Police said Keith R. Westcott, of Rome, went to his ex-girlfriend's apartment on West Thomas Street at about 1:23 a.m. Sunday and the pair started arguing. Police said Westcott started damaging property inside the apartment, including a picture frame.
Police said Westcott clenched his first and threatened to kill the woman, and slapped her in the face.
When officers responded, police said Westcott threatened to shoot and harm the officers.
Westcott is charged with two counts of third-degree menacing and one count each of fourth-degree mischief and second-degree harassment, police stated. He is scheduled to appear in City Court.
