Local churches announce holiday services

• DURHAMVILLE — Durhamville Baptist Church, 5294 Church St., is inviting community members to join them for Christmas Eve service.

The church has had a Christmas Eve service for the past 205 years, and it will also offer the chance to worship online through Facebook/BDC3753 beginning at 7 p.m. For more information, call the church at 315-363-3753.

• ORISKANY FALLS — Augusta Presbyterian Church, 2345 Route 26, will hold its annual candle light Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24.

The service will be held in the upstairs sanctuary to allow for more social distancing. Masks are required.

The Rev. Jay Williams, pastor, will preach on Jesus: the light of the world. All may attend.

• VERNON CENTER — Augusta Presbyterian Church in Oriskany Falls will worship at the former Vernon Center Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 27.

The church has been restored by its current owner, Garrett Law. Everyone in the community is encouraged to come. The theme of the service will be saying goodbye to 2020.
