Library and theater featuring ‘In the Heat of the Night’
ROME — Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St., will host a Mid-Day Mystery Book Discussion at noon Thursday, Feb. 9, in conjunction with the Capitol Theatre’s screenings of “In the Heat of the Night” on Feb. 10 and 11. The program is part of the Great American Novel series presented by the Rome Capitol Theatre and Keaton & Lloyd Bookshop.
The film screening not only continues the ongoing Great American Novel film series but is part of the Capitol Arts Complex’s celebration of Black History Month.
Join the discussion of the classic crime novel at Jervis Public Library, with bag lunches welcome and light refreshments provided. For those who haven’t read the book, there’s still time. Copies are available for loan at Jervis and for sale at Keaton & Lloyd Bookshop.
“In the Heat of the Night” screens at the Capitol Theatre at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 and at 2:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.
