ONEIDA — A variety of proposed legislation and two public hearings await the city’s Common Council at its meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Oneida City Hall, according to city officials.
The first public hearing involves a moratorium on boarding houses and rooming house uses in the city.
The second public hearing centers on the city of Oneida’s opting out of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and on-site consumption sites within the city.
Mayor Helen Acker will also present the 2022 mayor’s budget to the members of the city Common Council.
A public hearing on the mayor’s proposed spending plan will be scheduled for Nov. 16,
6:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers, city officials added.

Adopt Local Law No. 10 of 2021 to amend Article 5, Section 5.24 of the Oneida City Charter.
2022 Mayor’s Budget
Receive and place on file the 2022 City of Oneida Mayor’s Budget and schedule a Public Hearing for November 16, 2021 at 6:30 pm in the Common Council Chambers, 109 N. Main St., Oneida.
Advertise for Bids
Authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids for 2022 for Water Treatment Chemicals, WWTP Chemicals and WWTP Lab Services.
Approve the Mayor’s reappointment of Barb Henderson to the Planning Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals for a seven-year term.
