Law enforcers accuse Rome man of choking woman


A 19-year-old man is accused of choking a woman in her East Thomas Street home very early Monday morning, according to a report by law enforcement

Police said the victim invited Dashad “Young Fayzo” Hurst, of Gansevoort Avenue, to her home early Monday morning.

Police said that Hurst was acting aggressively, and the woman then asked him to leave, prompting him to attack her.

Police said Hurst choked the woman and punched her in the face.

Police said he also damaged her air conditioner.

Hurst is charged with one count each of criminal obstruction of breathing, second-degree imprisonment, fourth-degree mischief, second-degree trespass and third-degree menacing, police stated.

He is scheduled to appear in City Court, according to the law enforcement officials.
