HERKIMER — Arc Herkimer and Herkimer County HealthNet will host “Learn & Play: Wellness Fair for Kids” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Arc Park, 420 E. German St. The free event is open to children of all ages and all abilities, their families, and business professionals from the surrounding area. Local youth can visit informational booths to interact and learn about services in the community. Nearly 25 participating vendors will be at the fair, each with informative fun, games, and giveaways.

“Many local agencies will be showcasing their products and services to our community,” says Elyse Enea, executive director, Herkimer County HealthNet. “We are excited to host a fun event for our community; best of all it is free and we have lots of exciting activities for children!”

Children can also enjoy a bounce house, face painting, Stewart’s ice cream, Arc Herkimer concession stand, painting with Easels on the Gogh, and the Utica Mobile Museum.

“We are dedicated to building community and finding new ways to engage our people supported, in addition to the entire community,” says Catherine Loomis, vice president, community engagement and career development at Arc Herkimer.

“This partnership with Herkimer County HealthNet is a great opportunity to increase outreach, with an emphasis on health, wellness, and inclusion,” Loomis added.
