Held Aug. 1 at Rome Country Club, the Joseph Michael Chubbuck Foundation Golf Tournament had 17 teams and raised more than $10,000 to assist local cancer patients in financial need.
COVID-19 guidelines were followed throughout the event. Food was purchased and given to the golfers as “take out” at the turn (SUBWAY of Rome) and at the conclusion of the tournament (Piggy Pat’s of New Hartford). All golfers were given a commemorative shot glass, custom golf tees, and a team picture. Over 30 door prizes were awarded and a raffle was held showcasing a Craftsman Tool Kit donated by Lowe’s of Rome.
