Inmate accused of smashing window at Oneida County Jail


WHITESTOWN — An inmate at the county jail has been charged with smashing a window.

Sheriff’s deputies said Brandon Trask, 22, of Utica, was in the jail on unrelated charges when he intentionally broke a window inside the facility on Aug. 16. According to jail records, Trask has been in the lockup since June 29 on charges of criminal contempt.

Due to the broken window, deputies said Trask was charged with third-degree mischief, a class E felony. He is scheduled to appear in court.
