Indium Corporation engineers achieve 100% SMTA certification
CLINTON — Indium Corporation keeps up its tradition of hiring the best technical support engineers, which helps both its customers around the world and the industry of surface mount technology (SMT). This is evidenced by its current tally of 36 SMTA (Surface Mount Technology Association) certified employees as well as the impressive accomplishment of Technical Engineer Carson Burt, who recently achieved a score of 98% — the highest in SMTA history — while earning his SMTA CSMTPE (certified surface mount technology process engineer) certification.
“My success on the SMTA CSMTPE exam is largely owed to the unwavering support I received from my colleagues at Indium Corporation,” said Burt. “It is an honor to work for a company that places such a high priority on the technical competence, continuing education, and overall professionalism of its people.”
With the recent addition of Burt, along with team members Josh Dobransky and Thuy Nguyen, Indium Corporation’s entire U.S. Technical Support team has earned the SMTA CSMTPE certification. This important designation, which certifies competence across the SMT assembly process, is one of the electronics assembly industry’s most respected validations of process excellence.
