ROME — A 41-year-old man was found with an illegal knuckle knife during a traffic stop in Rome, according to the Rome Police Department.

Police said Ronald W. Weaver, of Rome, was pulled over on Black River Boulevard for an improper license plate at about 2:22 a.m. Friday. During the stop, police said a metal knuckle knife was found in the cup holder.

Weaver is charged with one count of third-degree possession of a weapon, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
