OLD FORGE — The Old Forge Library and Town of Webb Historical Association are hosting a series — Local History and Stories —  featuring presentations on a variety of local subjects, primarily of local historical significance. 

On Thursday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m. the series will feature Tom McCabe and Phil Sanzone with a historical perspective of the Fulton Chain of Lakes Association and their many endeavors on behalf of our local waterways. Founded in 1968, the Fulton Chain of Lakes Association’s mission is to protect the waters of the Fulton Chain area woodlands.

For over 50 years, they have been active in matters involving both water quality and water safety on our lakes. The Fulton Chain of Lakes Association will be bringing historical artifacts and memorabilia from their organization’s history.
