WEBB — A 39-year-old man is accused of possessing quantities of heroin and methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Herkimer County on Saturday, according to the Webb Police Department.

Police said a vehicle was pulled over on Route 28 around 12:21 a.m. Saturday, and a passenger Anthony P. Chandler, of Saranac Lake, was found with quantities of heroin and meth.

Chandler was also found to have an open warrant from the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

Police charged Chandler with two counts of seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance. He was released on appearance tickets for Webb Town Court, and he was turned over to the sheriff's office to answer the warrant.

The driver of the vehicle was also issued several vehicle and traffic tickets, and is scheduled to appear in court, police said.
