Guatemalan Missionary speaks June 20

Guatemalan Missionary Tim Pfeuffer will offer the sermon at the First Presbyterian Church, 108 W. Court St., on Sunday, June 20.

RFA (class of 1989) and Penn State grad, Tim and his family have been serving in Guatemala for the past three years as full-time missionaries. Along with wife Cathleen, the Pfeuffers have four daughters: Lauren and Katelyn are students at Liberty University, and Anna and Emma serve alongside their parents in Guatemala. Since their first trip in June 2016, they felt God change their hearts from serving as short-term missionaries to serving as full-time missionaries, church officials noted.

Currently in Guatemala, their ministry includes church planting in remote villages, and discipleship through different ministries, including men’s, women’s, and youth ministries. “They are blessed by the growth they have seen during the short time they have been in Guatemala.” The local church, within their first village, has grown from 20 to over 60 people.

Worship begins at 10 a.m. and the public is invited to attend. CDC guidelines are followed, and those who remain unvaccinated are asked to wear masks. The sanctuary entrance is handicapped accessible and congregation member Michelle Dolan leads the service.
