The Good News Center, 10475 Cosby Manor Road in Utica, is offering several programs throughout the spring season.
• Theology Uncorked will return to Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, May 20. Fr. Joseph Salerno of Our Lady of Lourdes and Our Lady of the Rosary Churches in Utica, will lead the conversation, “Reflection on the Easter Season through the Sacraments of Initiation.” Participants will gain a better understanding or learn how Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist invite everyone to experience the Risen Christ.
According to COVID-19 guidelines, capacity limit will be 100 and reservations are required. For everyone’s safety, the center requests that everyone be socially distanced in the Ballroom, with masks required. Call The Good News Center at 315-735-6210 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to make reservations.
• Grief Survivors
Community members are invited to join the center for this non-denominational support group for those suffering the loss of a loved one. The group meets bi-weekly to help you face the difficulty associated with losing a loved one. For those who prefer to do so, the program is being offered via Zoom. Call 315-735-6210 to register for both in-person or virtual meetings.

• PAL – Parents of Addicted Loved Ones
The primary goal of PAL is to provide hope through education for people dealing with the pain of having an addicted loved one. Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) is a national organization founded in Arizona by a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor.
Each PAL group is facilitated by a trained peer, someone walking the same path. Meetings are free and open to anyone with an addicted loved one, participants must be age 18 and over. The guiding principles of PAL are confidentiality, respect, acceptance and support. Some of the topics covered are: Delayed emotional growth, enabling checklist, and family lessons about recovery. For those who prefer to do so, the program is being offered via Zoom. Call 315-735-6210 to register for both in-person or virtual meetings. Meetings are 6:30-8 p.m. every other Monday. Upcoming meetings are May 17, June 7 and June 21.
