Ghost gun seized in Utica, one charged
UTICA — A Utica man was found with an illegal ghost gun after running into a cemetery off Coventry Avenue Monday morning, according to the Utica Police Department.
Police said Noor Dulo, 21, was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over during a police traffic stop at Coventry and Trenton avenues around 11 a.m. Monday. During the stop, police said Dulo fled the vehicle and ran into a nearby cemetery.
Dulo had a 9mm ghost gun, police said, and he attempted to bury it in the snow before he was taken into custody.
Dulo is charged with one count each of second-degree possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, police stated. He is scheduled to appear in Utica City Court.
