Genesis Group to hold virtual forum on COVID impacts on education

UTICA — The Genesis Group will host a virtual education forum on Wednesday, April 21, at noon, to discuss impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on public education in the region. The forum panel will include several area school district superintendents.

Among the topics of the forum will include:

How has the pandemic changed superintendents and the way they manage?

Remote Learning vs. In-Person Learning;

2021-22 School Budgets, including the American Rescue Plan and Stimulus Funds; and

The future of our workforce.

Among those scheduled to participate are:

Brian K. Bellair, superintendent, Whitesboro Central School District;  

Peter C. Blake, superintendent, Rome City School District;

Scott A. Budelmann, superintendent and CEO, Madison-Oneida BOCES;

Martha K. Group, superintendent, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central School District;

Bruce J. Karam, superintendent, Utica City School District

Patricia N. Kilburn, superintendent, Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES;

Keith T. Levatino, superintendent, Little Falls City School District; and

Sandra Sherwood, superintendent and CEO, Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES.
