Generals finish runner-up at NJCAA Region III Women’s Bowling Championships
ROME — The Herkimer Generals women’s bowling team competed in the NJCAA Region III Women’s Bowling Championships on Saturday hosted by Mohawk Valley Community College at King Pin Lanes.
Erie County Community College placed first with a total pinfall of 7,167, while the Generals were second with 6,409.
Freshman Emily Ferlo, a Central Valley Academy graduate, was the catalyst for the Generals placing first in the singles competition. Ferfo and her partner freshman Maddison Winters, a Frankfort-Schuyler graduate, placed second in the doubles competition. Ferlo and Winters were both named to the All-Region team.
The Generals’ next match will be the 2023 NJCAA Women’s Bowling Championships in Cheektowaga from March 2-4.
