Garage scorched by fire on Commons Road in Remsen
REMSEN — No one was injured after firefighters knocked down a garage fire on Commons Road in Remsen Tuesday evening, according to the Remsen Fire Department.
Fire officials said the alarm was raised at 5:35 p.m. for a fully involved garage fire at 10787 Commons Road, located north of the Village of Remsen. Volunteers from Remsen and Barneveld responded to the scene and officials said they launched an aggressive interior attack on the attached garage to control and knock down the flames.
The fire was contained to the garage with no damage to the home, officials said. Firefighters used fans to blow the smoke out of the residence.
The Remsen and Barneveld fire departments responded to the scene, with Holland Patent on standby.
