Luminary bags were set up along the track at Relay for Life of CNY. At night, the bags will glow either in honor of a loved one fighting cancer or in remission from cancer, or in memory of someone who has passed away from the disease.

Over 50 teams turned out for the first Relay for Life of Central New York event at Delta Lake State Park in Rome on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The occasion was the first time that regional events in Rome, Utica, Madison County, and Syracuse have banded together for one grand event.
