Four wounded in weekend shooting in Utica; police seek information on incident


Four people were shot and hospitalized during an incident on Noyes Street in Utica Saturday night, according to law enforcement officials.

No arrests have been made so far. At least one of the victims is in critical condition.

Police said they were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Noyes St. at about 8:20 p.m. after four men were shot. The identities of the victims have not yet been released. They range in age from 23 to 39 years. All four were taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

One victim was shot in both legs and is expected to survive. One victim was shot in the abdomen and is also expected to survive. A third man was shot in the chest, is in serious condition, and he is also suspected to survived, police stated.

The fourth victim was shot in the head and is in critical condition. Police said it is not yet known if he will pull through.

Police said they are still trying to determine the relationships between the four men. They have not released any information on a possible suspect, or if one of the four is responsible for the shooting.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
