Food drive to aid Rescue Mission


City of Rome Third Ward Councilor Kimberly Rogers and Common Council President Stephanie Viscelli, in partnership with The Mill, will hold a food drive to benefit Rome Rescue Mission from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 27.

The mission is in need of donations to provide Easter meals.

A special request has been made for hams, roast beef, salad ingredients, fresh vegetables, potatoes, butter, coffee, creamer, orange and apple juice, muffins, chips and dip, cheese and crackers, eggs, bacon, milk and desserts. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

Donations may be taken to The Mill parking lot at the corner of Fifth and Dominick streets. Individuals who drop off donations will be entered into a raffle to win one of seven $20 gift cards to The Mill.
