ROME — A Florida man is accused of possessing a quantity of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Rome very early Saturday morning, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said a U-Haul was pulled over for having a headlight out in Rome around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Police said the driver was ticketed for having a suspended license, and a backpack was found in the vehicle with 3.8 grams of meth inside a metal lockbox.
Passenger Dylan J. Felter, 27, of Florida, claimed ownership of the backpack and lockbox, police stated.
Felter is charged with one count of seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, authorities said. He was ticketed to appear in Rome City Court.
