NEW HARTFORD — A 43-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges for getting into an argument at the Aldi market on Seneca Turnpike, according to the New Hartford Police Department.
Police said Jose Figueroa, of Utica, confronted another person at the grocery store on Nov. 16, despite an order of protection filed against him. Police said Figueroa demanded the other person get into a vehicle and threatened the other person, while they argued about relationship issues.
Figueroa eventually left the scene and the victim contacted the authorities. A warrant was issued for Figueroa and he was taken into custody in Utica Monday morning.
Figueroa is charged with two counts of felony first-degree contempt and one count each of aggravated family offense, a class E felony, and third-degree menacing, a misdemeanor, police stated. He is scheduled to appear in New Hartford Town Court.
