Felony amount of cocaine seized in Rome traffic stop
ROME — An Annsville man was found with a felony amount of cocaine during an early morning traffic stop in Rome, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said Adrian M. Simms, 31, was pulled over for a vehicle violation in the 300 block of N. James Street around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Police said Simms was found to be driving on a suspended license, so his vehicle was set to be searched and towed.
A baggie containing 4.4 grams of cocaine was found in the center console, authorities said.
Simms is charged with one count of fourth-degree possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony, police stated. He is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
