The Healing Shawl of St. Padre Pio will once again be in the community for the 40th annual Family Rosary Crusade, to take place starting at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 at St. Mary’s/Sacred Heart Church at 201 Main St.

The Crusade includes the Chaplet of Divine Mercy preceding the main event at 2:45 p.m. There will also be the Consecration to Jesus and Mary, enrollment into the Brown Scapular, recitation of the rosary, Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament and Crowning of the Image of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Master of Ceremonies will be Sen. Joseph A. Griffo, R-47, Rome, with guest speaker, the Rev. Anthony Stephens of Fathers of Mercy.

A Dinner Celebration will follow at about 6 p.m. at the St. Mary’s/Sacred Heart Church cafeteria/gymnasium featuring Italian foods. Entertainment will be provided by the Mark Bolos Band and Nick Lombombardo.
