CLINTON — The Fair Trade Shop at Stone Presbyterian Church, 8 S. Park Row, is now featuring reusable Katha Produce Bags from India.
Each sustainable, beautifully-crafted produce bag has a natural colored cotton mesh with recycled sari accent and twisted sari drawstring closure.
The bags as well as several other handcrafted gift items from 38 different countries are available at the Fair Trade Shop. Purchasing fair trade items ensures artisans and small farmers fair wages and healthy working conditions, providing dignity and sustainable development and hope to marginalized people. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday and second Saturdays in the shop, plus 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday at the Farmer’s Market on the Village Green in Clinton through the summer.
