CLINTON — Flower Petal Bowls, which are handcrafted and hand-painted by talented craft-masters in India, are available at the Fair Trade Shop, located at Stone Presbyterian Church, 8 S. Park Row.
Flower Petal Bowls feature a Moroccan design both inside and out.
In August, the shop will feature the Mouse Cheese Knife as well, also made in India from stainless steel, which is dishwasher safe.
These and many more unique handmade gift items from 38 different countries can be found in the Fair Trade Shop.
Purchasing fair trade items ensures artisans and small farmers fair wages and healthy working conditions, providing dignity and sustainable development and hope to marginalized people.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday and second Saturdays in the shop, plus 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday at the Farmer’s Market on the Village Green through the summer. The shop will also be present at the Art & Music Festival on the Village Green Aug. 28.
