Emmy Award-winning Bluey brings live show to Utica
UTICA — Grab the sticky geckos, break out the duck cakes and alert the grannies! It’s time to meet the much-loved Heeler family as they bring the Bluey live show, “Bluey’s Big Play: The Stage Show,” to town for two shows at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 at Stanley Theatre, 259 Genesee St.
Presented by the Broadway Theatre League of Utica, this is the live version of the Emmy Award-winning animated preschool series airing on the Disney channels. The series follows Bluey, a six-year-old Blue Heeler dog. Bluey loves to play and turn everyday family life into extraordinary adventures that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways - bringing her family, friends and community into her world of fun.
Fans of all ages will get to see Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli as they’ve never seen them before, as the Heelers embark on their very first live theater show in the U.S. featuring puppetry, live actors and iconic sets. Based on an original new story written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, “Bluey’s Big Play: The Stage Show” also contains new music by Bluey composer, Joff Bush.
This performance is 50 minutes with no intermission. Tickets start at $38 plus fees and are available at The Stanley Theatre box office, by visiting Ticketmaster.com or by calling 315-724-4000. Group orders of 10 or more may be placed by phone by calling 315-624-9444.
