“In 1959, John D. Eggan, Jr. started a small excavating company that would come to be known as Eggan Excavating & Equipment Co., Inc. Through the decades, the business became much more multi-faceted, expanding into septic tank pumping, environmental spill response, portable toilet rentals, bulk potable water delivery, and snow removal services.

The business is still family-owned by two of John’s sons, Douglas and Mark. The company’s dedicated, extremely knowledgeable staff remains committed to providing unequivocal customer service as it strives to remain the premier environmental services company in central New York,” reads a release.

Douglas Eggan serves as the company president, according to Eggan’s website. “Douglas has over 40 years of experience in septic system operation, and maintenance,” the website states, adding, “he is also trained to handle industrial and hazardous wastes. He is certified and licensed to operate all equipment maintained by Eggan Excavating.”

Mark Eggan is the company vice president, according to the website, and “has over 40 years of experience in septic system operation and maintenance.
