Drugs, weapons seized in Oneida
ONEIDA — Multiple types of drugs — including heroin and methamphetamine — along with a loaded handgun were seized during a traffic stop in Oneida late Monday night, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies said Diane Clark, 38, of Durhamville, was pulled over on an active warrant on Lenox Avenue in Oneida at about 10 p.m. Monday. Once stopped, deputies said they searched the 2021 Toyota Camry and found quantities of meth, heroin, Suboxone, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms and suspected MDMA, along with drug-packaging materials, scales, metal knuckles and a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
Both Clark and passenger Evan Colvin, 25, of Morrisville, are charged with one count each of third, fourth, fifth and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, second-degree use of drug paraphernalia and two counts each of third and fourth-degree possession of a weapon, deputies stated.
Clark and Colvin were arraigned in court. Clark was sent to county jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond, and Colvin was sent to jail without bail. They are both scheduled to reappear in Oneida City Court.
