Disturbance at Oneida County Office Building
UTICA — A homeless man is facing multiple charges for making physical contact with a sheriff's deputy at the Oneida County Office Building, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies said Alexander Makley, 26, was causing a scene at the county office building in Utica around 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 3. On-site deputies were assisting the building staff in dealing with Makley, at which point authorities said he subjected one deputy to physical contact.
Makley continued to struggle while he was being taken into custody, deputies said. He was then found with a quantity of cocaine, authorities stated.
Makley is charged with one count each of second-degree harassment, obstruction of a governmental administration, resisting arrest and criminal possession of a controlled substance, authorities said. He is scheduled to appear in court.
