A Vernon woman accused of failing to stop for a red light caused a two-vehicle crash on Route 365 in the outer district of Rome Friday evening.
Sheriff’s deputies said Natalie M. Legler, 52, of Vernon, was driving a 2015 Jeep westbound on Route 365 when she ran the red light at the intersection of South James Street at 6:37 p.m. and struck a 2009 Ford operated by Benjamin J. Miller, 20, of Rome.
Both Legler and Miller suffered minor injuries, but Legler requested transport to Oneida City Hospital for evaluation. Legler was charged with failure to stop for a red light.
Rome Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance assisted.
