Crash sends two to hospital

TOWN OF VIENNA — Two people were hospitalized after their Jeep rolled over on Preston Hill Road on Saturday.

Sheriff's deputies said Aryn Nelson, 20, of Apalachin, Tioga County, was southbound shortly after noon when she attempted to make a left turn onto California Road without slowing down enough. Deputies said Nelson lost control of her Jeep and it overturned onto its roof.

Both Nelson and her passenger, 22-year-old Tyler Washer, of Oswego, were taken to University Hospital in Syracuse for non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.

Nelson was ticketed for unreasonable speed and is scheduled to appear in Town Court, deputies stated.
