CONSTABLEVILLE — A store owner was shot in the leg during an early morning convenience store robbery in Lewis County, according to law enforcement officials.
Sheriff’s deputies said a masked man entered the Quik N E-Z Mini Mart on Route 26 while it was being opened at about 5:30 a.m. Friday. Deputies said the masked thief shot the store owner once in the leg and stole cash from the shop.
The victim was treated at a Utica hospital for non-life threatening injuries, authorities stated.
No arrests have been made so far. Authorities said the robber wore a blue coat over gray or black-colored pants. They had gray gloves, a dark-colored hood and a bright red facemask.
