Company appoints Cardillo as director of business development
UTICA — Carmina Wood Design has announced the appointment of Bob Cardillo to the post of director of business development in its Utica office. His duties will include promoting the interests of the firm’s architectural, civil engineering, interior design and historic adaptive reuse services in Central New York.
“Carmina Wood Design has made a commitment to this region and opened an office in Utica on Franklin Street,” said Steve Carmina, president of Carmina Wood Design. “We see the rebirth of this community and are excited to be a part of the success.”
The company is working on several local projects, including the renovation of the Obilston Apartments, redevelopment of Chancellor Apartments, as well as work at the Broad Street Lofts and the former Avalon Knitting Mill.
The company has previously completed the Globe Mill Apartments.
Cardillo, who is currently running for mayor of Utica, has previously worked in positions in state and federal government, including eight years as an executive with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
He has also worked with several housing authorities in Utica, People First and MHA in Oneida, according to the announcement.
