Continentals move up in field hockey poll

The Hamilton College Continentals moved up four spots from last week to 16th in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Top 20 poll released on Tuesday.

Hamilton is 8-5 overall and 4-5 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference after splitting a pair of conference games last week. The Continentals defeated then-No. 7 Trinity College in a shootout on Saturday after the teams were tied 1-1 through four quarters and two sudden victory overtime periods. Hamilton dropped a 4-1 decision against then-No. 10 Williams College on Oct. 13.

Keeley Duran and Maura Holden lead the team with six goals apiece. Hannah Dillon and Kiera Wax are tied for the team lead with four assists. Maggie Reville has played every minute in the cage this fall and has a 1.60 goals against average and .776 save percentage with two shutouts.

The Continentals have one road contest at Wesleyan University on Saturday, Oct. 23 at noon.

The Cardinals are 6-7 overall and 2-6 in the conference.
