Clinton residents approve $18M capital project
CLINTON — Clinton Central School District residents voted Tuesday to approve an $18 million capital improvement project by a vote of 258 yes to 46 no.
The project was designed to address the district’s most pressing facility needs. The plan includes infrastructure updates, such as the replacement of boilers and roofs, and space renovations to school libraries and the elementary school kitchen. There will also be site work throughout the campus, including a new elementary playground and installation of a multi-purpose turf field.
“On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to thank everyone who voted today and for the support of this project,” district Superintendent Christopher Clancy said. “The work included in this project will help us maintain our outstanding facilities and will provide new and exciting opportunities to our students.”
