Cars broken into overnight in Verona


TOWN OF VERONA — A series of break-ins on motor vehicles parked in a residential neighborhood off Route 31 early Thursday morning is under investigation by law enforcement officials.

Sheriff’s deputies said several Verona residents woke up Thursday morning to discover their motor vehicles had been looted, leading to multiple theft complaints to 9-1-1. Deputies said the thefts were concentrated around the areas of Brett and Mark streets, Kelly Avenue and Old Farm Road, a residential neighborhood off Route 31.

There were also reports of thefts on Hill and Stickney roads. The state police are also investigating multiple theft complaints.

Anyone with information on the break-ins is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 315-736-8346 or 315-765-2216. Authorities said the thefts remain under investigation.
