CAC Spring Craft Fair offers capacity lineup of vendors
SHERRILL — The annual CAC Spring Craft Fair expects a capacity variety of vendors when it returns from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 1 at the Community Activity Center (CAC), 139 East Hamilton Ave.
“Don’t get fooled — it’s actually going to happen,” quipped Sherrill’s recreation supervisor Barry VanDreason about the April Fools’ Day date of the event.
VanDreason said the craft fair is completely filled up this year, with 40 vendors showing their wares in three separate areas of the building — the gymnasium, the lobby and upstairs. There will be plenty of homemade crafts, jewelry, knitting, woodworking, ironworks and 31 Gifts and Mary K products as well.
The building is handicapped accessible and someone will be operating the elevator throughout the event, VanDreason said. They will offer door prizes every hour and there will also be a 50/50 raffle and food including the popular breakfast sandwich that is a Spring Craft Fair favorite.
The CAC Spring Craft Fair is a longtime favorite spring happening in Sherrill.
“I know everybody looks forward to it every year,” VanDreason said.
“The best part is seeing people from the community that I haven’t seen in a while,” added Sherrill resident and craft fair regular Kim Allen. “It’s a chance to connect and catch up. I always love buying something that is hand knitted from one if the crafters ... a skill I never learned.”
