FRANKFORT — A 44-year-old man is facing multiple charges after fleeing from police officers and getting into a crash, according to the Village of Frankfort Police Benevolent Association.

Authorities said Michael E. Austin, 44, of Frankfort, refused to pull over when officers attempted to stop him for a vehicle and traffic violation in the Village of Frankfort on Jan. 18. Authorities said Austin fled from the officers until crashing on Southside Road in the Town of Frankfort.

Austin is charged with third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer and speeding, authorities stated. He is scheduled to appear in Frankfort Town Court.
