Brave Liza has a story of hope and survival

Posted

Hi there:

My name is Liza, and I am a 3-year-old female feline who was brought into the shelter by Animal Control at the beginning of September. I have quite a frightening story to share with everyone! I was found in an abandoned building where I was locked in for a couple of weeks with no food or water and only a toilet to drink out of.

I came into the shelter with chemical burns on my neck where it made me bald in certain areas, and I was also very matted. I had to be completely shaved down.

Thank goodness, it’s now been a month and a half and my beautiful long white and orange fur is growing in. You can’t imagine how terrified I was being trapped for such a long time and wondering if I would ever be rescued. I am so grateful that I was found, brought into the safety of the shelter and can now live out the rest of my life happy and healthy.

I’m a very sweet girl; I’m a wonderful lap cat — and I love to be petted.

I also have a great appetite! I went through a very tough time but have come out of it much stronger. If anyone is interested in me, please come down to the shelter and ask about me! I’m also 100% great with other cats and even around dogs!

Thank you Winston, I appreciate all of your help. Paws crossed that my bad luck is over and now it’s time for the good things to begin!

Sincerely, Liza

Dear Liza:

What a harrowing story that is! We are all so glad that you got through that terrible time and are now healthy once again. You are such a beautiful girl with so much to look forward to! I wish you all of the luck and happiness in the world. Readers, please help give this sweet lady her “happily ever after!”

Sincerely, Winston
