Bocce duo outlasts 23 teams in men’s Super-Doubles Tournament
ROME — Twenty-four teams from across the Northeast competed over the weekend in the men’s Super-Doubles Tournament at the Toccolana Club in Rome.
Romans Todd Lanzi and Paul Louis III went undefeated and topped Paul Calicchia and Pete Russo (Amsterdam) in the finals.
Felice and Natale Scala (Rochester) finished third while the trio of Romans, Jerry Fiorini, Rob Kopek and Jerry Closinski finished fourth.
Angelo Guerrera and Mike Paolino (Connecticut) placed fifth. Dave Scaccia and Bernie Colangelo rounded out the prize winners in sixth.
The Dave Hilts men’s doubles tournament is set for Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 at the Galliano Club in Rome.
