Bishop marks first anniversary of Anglican church
WASHINGTON MILLS — The new Anglican Mission of Christ the King, 3810 Oneida St., is hosting its bishop, the Right Reverend Julian Dobbs at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, for a special Mass of Thanksgiving.
Christ the King is a new plant of the Anglican Church in North America. Sunday service is held at 10 a.m. “Ancient liturgy, timely preaching, and healing prayer for anointing” are its principal components, church officials noted.
The present pastoral team consists of Bishop Dan Herzog, retired Bishop of Albany; Bishop Dave Bena, retired Suffragan Bishop; and Father Geoff Boland.
